The reservoir was essential in combating the 60,000-acre fire that threatened the area in late July/early August 2024. Located just 5 miles from the ranch, the fire's eastern edge was particularly challenging to control. The reservoir has supplied over 300,000 gallons of water, supporting around 200 water dips per day. Fire crews also set up camp on the property, using it as a base of operations. These efforts helped contain the fire and will provide peace of mind to the future property owner regarding fire risks in the surrounding area.
